Our supporters 2022/2023 Season
We rely on the generosity of our business community through sponsorship, grants and donations to run our club.
Please be sure to support those who support us.
Please see this link to the National Beach and Coastal Safety Report recently published. This report provides an excellent insight into drowning fatalities and activities undertaken by the Surf Lifesaving membership across New Zealand to better understand our role in the Gisborne community.

We’re always looking for support. Your generosity is much appreciated.
We have had a family connection with Midway S.L.S.C for many years now when our family first joined the club. As our business has grown over the years, we began looking at ways we could support and give back to our community with a focus on youth. Dawson Building Co and Midway S.L.S.C. have been in a sponsorship partnership for over ten years now and we are very proud of this association and all that the club members have achieved.
We enjoy the family/whanau values that Midway hold and being a part of a wider team, which reflects how we like to manage our Company.
Pete and I were born in Gisborne and raised our three children Matt, Chris and Holly here with all the benefits that living on a rural setting within easy distance of our great beaches offers.
Phil and Rachael Matthews started sponsoring with Midway in 2015. Their four children, Anna-Bell, William, Brooke and Sam, have all competed for Midway as Juniors. Both Anna-Bell and William have continued on from Juniors to be qualified patrolling lifeguards.
